If you have crooked, chipped, misaligned, discolored
or otherwise damaged teeth, veneers are an excellent
solution. They also can cover chips, breaks, gaps,
and stains. Veneers are thin shells of porcelain
which are permanently bonded to the fronts of your
teeth. They’re custom-made and custom colored; when
placed by a qualified cosmetic dentist, veneers are
virtually identical to natural teeth.
Not only
do veneers look like real teeth, they act like them
too! Once they are bonded to your teeth, you can
chew and function with them like you would your
normal teeth. The bond is extremely strong! Veneers
are considered a conservative alternative to crowns,
and they can be applied to both the top and bottom
teeth.
At the
initial appointment, you and Dr. Jon will discuss
your smile and he will listen to your needs and
wants. Study models of your teeth will be taken as
well as digital photos. The models will then be
sent to our lab to create a diagnostic wax up. At
the next visit, you will be able to see what your
new smile will look like. The following visit
involves reshaping your teeth for your new veneers
and molds will be taken and sent to our lab. There,
your custom veneers will be artistically hand
crafted by the finest lab technicians in the
country. At the final visit, your veneers will be
tried in and permanently bonded to your teeth.
You’ll have a new beautiful smile in just about a
month’s time.
It’s
important to note that placing veneers is as much of
an art as it is a science. That’s why it’s
important to have a qualified cosmetic dentist – one
who is specially trained in cosmetic dentistry –
when undergoing this procedure. A cosmetic
dentist, like Dr. Jon, has additional skills above
and beyond those of a regular dentist. He has
attended the nation’s premier cosmetic and
restorative school, the Las Vegas Institute for
Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of
the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Together
we can create a smile that will make a difference in
your life!
